dr-dabber-auroraBy chance, my eye recently caught various news articles which make mention that medical cannabis oils may soon be legalised here on the sunny southern tip of Africa.

While this news may not have die-hard stoners dancing in the streets just yet, for those seriously contemplating or already (perhaps sneakily) using oils (wax, shatter, honey oil) for medicinal use, this is certainly a step in the right direction. The use of medical cannabis is already legal in many countries and as a result the global industry has noticed a rapid shift in the method or way we consume medicinal oils and concentrates. And now we are already beginning to see this same trend locally.

Although ingestion and topical application have always been the common methods of consumption, the strides being made in vaporiser technology are rapidly changing the way we medicate using cannabis oils. And vaporising is rapidly becoming the preferred method.

Firstly, a portable vaporiser offers a very personal experience and allows for ‘medication on-the-go’. The various pen style range of vaporiser are small, discrete, easy to use and maintain, and can be used in public with very little fuss or bother. The consumers shift towards easy to use pens is very noticeable and due to their ease of use and aesthetically pleasing lines are also fast becoming socially accepted.

Importantly too, the effects achieved from vaporising is more instantaneous and gives very accurate control over oil/concentrate dosages when compared to ingestion or topical application.

For medicinal use specifically, the Dr Dabber range of personal pen style vaporisers is my preferred oil/concentrate vaporiser when on the go.

For their pen vaporizers Dr Dabber utilises a low heat technology combined with quartz-lined atomizers and grade 2 titanium, is the driving force behind Dr. Dabber's incredible flavour. Dr. Dabber coils gently heat to the ideal temperature instead of attempting to achieve the highest temperature possible as quickly as possible. Many vaporizers with a similar design will glow red hot almost instantly after pressing the button, which simply burns your product on contact. This seriously compromises flavour and efficacy.

By employing Grade 2 titanium in their Ghost, Ghost Ceramic, Light, Globe and Glass atomizer coils, this range of pens are able to heat at a much lower temperature. This low temp, high resistance setup results in your heating coils staying at ideal temperature for longer, ensuring you do not burn your essential oils.dr-dabber-aurora-atomizers

Maintenance of your Dr Dabber range of pens is simple enough. We recommend immersing your atomizer in isopropyl alcohol for 20-30 minutes to clean the chamber. Avoid leaving it any longer than this as it may damage the finish on the outside of the atomizer. Once you remove the atomizer from the alcohol, shake excess alcohol off, then reattach to your battery and press the button to vaporize any remaining alcohol. Do NOT use the loading tool to clean or scrape the inside of your atomizer as it is very easy to catch the wick/coil and tear it out of its connectors.

It is important to note that the Dr. Dabber products are not designed as smoking cessation devices and cannot be used with e-liquids or any other nicotine product.
